Within Cohen Children’s Heart Center, we have multiple subspecialty programs working together to provide an array of diagnostic, medical, interventional and surgical treatments for your child. This initiative is led by cardiothoracic surgeon David Meyer, MD, and cardiologist Jeffrey Gossett, MD.

The Heart Center’s pediatric cardiology team meets weekly to discuss cases and develop custom care plans for all our patients. This means your child will get individualized attention from not just one specialist, but a diverse group of pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, neonatal and pediatric intensive care doctors, and cardiologists to ensure they receive the most appropriate treatment plan.

We communicate closely with your obstetrician and your child’s referring pediatrician so they can assist with any cardiac care that may be necessary in the future. For expecting parents, we work with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, perinatologists and neonatologists to discuss care for our unborn patients and coordinate a birthing plan that works for their families.
