About our residency program
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program at Northwell Health is a six-year integrated training program. Each year, two residents are selected for this exclusive program that affords residents exposure to the full spectrum of aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery.
Plastic surgery residents rotate through several tertiary hospitals in the health system, including Cohen Children’s Medical Center. The diversity in the training sites provides broad exposure to various faculty, patients and clinical scenarios—including valuable pediatric experience. All residents also participate in some form of clinical or basic science research and are encouraged to partake in peer-review publications and national presentations.
