Parents know illnesses and injuries don’t take nights and weekends off. At the Urgi Center at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, we’re here after hours when your child needs immediate treatment for an illness or injury and your pediatrician isn’t available. Our walk-in facility is equipped with on-site X-ray and laboratory testing with a dedicated team of specialists that provides treatment for broken bones, sprains, minor trauma, fever, ear infections and other non-emergency medical situations.
At the Urgi Center, we strive to make your child’s experience as pleasant as possible. Children are seen on a first come, first serve basis and are attended to in a timely manner with minimal waiting time. All children receive as much time as necessary for evaluation and treatment of their illness or injury.
Common after-hours emergencies treated at the Urgi Center include:
- Asthma attacks
- Broken bones, sprains and other minor trauma
- Ear infections
- Respiratory illnesses
